Not Professional Therapy or Medical Advice

Hard Empathy is a supportive service focused on enhancing interpersonal skills and emotional awareness. It is not a substitute for licensed mental health care, diagnosis, or treatment. If you have mental health concerns, please consult a qualified professional.

Our coaching programs, content, and community resources are designed to complement, not replace, professional therapeutic support. Nothing on this website or within our programs should be interpreted as clinical advice.

No Guarantees of Outcomes

Results from empathy coaching vary depending on individual circumstances. We do not guarantee specific outcomes or improvements. The tools, frameworks, and language we teach have been developed through real-world application and experience, but your results depend on your willingness to apply them, the complexity of your situation, and factors outside our control.

Confidentiality & Privacy

All information shared during coaching sessions is treated confidentially except where disclosure is required by law (e.g., risk of harm to self or others). We take the trust you place in us seriously, and we protect your stories the way we’d want ours protected.

For details on how we collect, use, and protect your data when you visit this website, subscribe to our email list, or purchase our products, please see the Privacy Policy section below.

Client Responsibility

Clients are responsible for their own choices and actions during and after coaching sessions. Hard Empathy provides frameworks, tools, and guided practice. What you do with them is up to you. We are here to equip you, not to make decisions on your behalf.

No Emergency Support

Hard Empathy is not designed for crisis or emergency situations. If you or someone you know is in crisis, please contact emergency services or a crisis hotline immediately.

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 988 (call or text)
Crisis Text Line: Text HOME to 741741
National Domestic Violence Hotline: 1-800-799-7233
Emergency Services: 911

We care deeply about the people in our community. These resources exist for the moments that fall outside what coaching can hold.

Intellectual Property

All coaching materials, frameworks, scripts, exercises, guides, and content produced by Hard Empathy LLC are the intellectual property of Hard Empathy LLC. Materials are provided for personal use only and may not be shared, reproduced, distributed, or repurposed without written permission.

This includes, but is not limited to: the Hard Empathy Loop, the Mirror/Process/Person framework, assessment tools, workshop content, and all downloadable resources.

Scope of Practice

Hard Empathy coaching and content is explicitly not appropriate for:

  • Active abuse situations
  • Ongoing affairs or active deception
  • Severe power imbalances requiring legal intervention
  • HR or legal investigations
  • Untreated addiction requiring clinical support

In these situations, we recommend working with a licensed therapist, mediator, HR professional, or attorney. We will refer you to appropriate resources when a situation falls outside what coaching can responsibly address.

Empathy without accountability is enabling. Accountability without empathy is cruelty. Hard Empathy is the uncomfortable middle.
